Terry’s academic background is as impressive as it is diverse. He graduated summa cum laude in Nuclear Engineering from Mississippi State University, where his academic excellence earned him recognition as an Engineering Fellow and a Harry S. Truman Memorial Scholar. His desire to expand his knowledge further led him to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he earned dual master’s degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Technology & Policy. At MIT, he was named a National Science Foundation Fellow, recognizing his exceptional academic achievements.

Driven by a desire to apply his technical knowledge in the legal realm, Terry pursued both a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation at Georgetown University, graduating cum laude. Before entering private practice, Terry spent 18 years in academia, teaching law, engineering, and computer science. He is also an avid boating enthusiast, particularly in sailing and power boating. He enjoys time spent on his 47-foot power catamaran, an outlet for relaxation and adventure.
